FRA Hires Senior Transportation Engineer to Lead Transportation Group in NY Offices

Rochester, N.Y. – FRA, a T.Y Lin International Company, has hired Carl Ast, Senior Transportation Engineer, to serve as Transportation Group Supervisor for its Rochester and Buffalo, New York offices. In this role, Ast will provide management oversight for all traffic and street/roadway project work.

Ast brings 23 years of experience to the position, and expertise in traffic studies/traffic operations, intelligent transportation systems, traffic signal design and coordination, roadway design, highway permit work, infrastructure and transportation planning.

Ast received his BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. In addition to being a licensed professional engineer in New York, he is a Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer.
